Activty 2: Community Disaster Timeline

For numerous years, our barangay has been hit by the same disasters, namely typhoons and tropical depressions, which have resulted in flooding in the barangay's low areas. As a result, these are the following crisis-mitigation approaches that they shared:

1. Before a typhoon makes landfall, barangay authorities give warnings and provide their phone numbers for people to call in an emergency.

2. Before and during the crisis, the barangay must acquire and make accessible the necessary supplies such as, food, water, life vest, etc.

3. The Punong Barangay must guarantee that the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils design and conduct local disaster risk reduction and management orientation programs, as well as organizational learning on disaster risk reduction and management.
